The Cook II position at Sodexo, located at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive pay range of $20 to $22 per hour. As a Cook II, you will work varying shifts, with open availability preferred to meet the demands of different meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold dishes according to established recipes and product directions. Supporting management in day-to-day functions and the supervision of team members may also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Ability to work varying shifts including days and hours with open availability preferred
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Must be a team player willing to support management and coworkers

Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
