Job Requirements
- Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days
- able to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25lbs without assistance
- position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen preferred
- knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP
- ability to operate kitchen appliances safely
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- ability to follow instructions and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen environment
- customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Operates ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods
- maintains up-to-date knowledge of company food safety programs
- cooks all potentially hazardous food to correct temperatures following HACCP guidelines
- prepares ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
- ensures proper portion, arrangement, and food garnishments according to standard
- welcomes and greets guests and anticipates and addresses their needs
- interacts with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly
- contributes to team goals
- always follows company policies and safety procedures
