Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two years relevant experience in a high volume restaurant, hospital, or institution required
- Food Handlers Certificate (FHC) obtained within 30 days required
- Ability to meet time standards required by production schedule
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Demonstrates initiative in assuming responsibilities
- Must be cooperative, discreet and courteous in handling visitors and employees

Job Duties
- Responsible for all areas of production including both hot and cold production
- Understand how to read and prepare simple or complex recipes to department standards
- Produce high quality products utilizing creativity and training
- Suggest menu or recipe changes to reduce waste and ensure food quality
- Organizes work for maximum productivity and avoids overproduction
- Labels and dates foods according to HACCP standards and follows safe food handling procedures
- Maintains kitchen and serving areas clean and orderly to exceed sanitation standards
- Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
