Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one to two years of culinary experience
  • strong knowledge of basic cooking methods and food safety
  • must obtain Food Handler’s Certification within 30 days of hire
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • successful completion of background check, drug test, physical, and TB screening
  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to recipes with attention to quality and presentation
  • adjust recipes for dietary restrictions when needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas
  • safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • mentor and support Cook I staff
  • collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely service
  • assist with meal service delivery
  • other duties as assigned
