Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-4 years of relevant cooking experience preferred
  • ability to work varying shifts including weekends
  • reliable and punctual with satisfactory attendance record
  • commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • willingness to support management and take on additional duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3-4 years of related cooking experience preferred
  • ability to follow recipes and food safety procedures
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • team-oriented with adaptability and reliability
  • basic math skills for portion control and inventory counting
  • prior experience in healthcare or institutional food service environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during normal business operations
  • attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness of cooking and serving areas
  • assist with inventory management and reduce food waste
