Job Requirements
- minimum of 6 months directly related cooking experience
- knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- ability to work full-time weekdays from 7am to 3:30pm
- physical ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- willingness to work in an environment with moderate exposure to chemicals and kitchen equipment
- adherence to hospital and state regulatory requirements
- effective communication skills

Job Duties
- prepare and serve a variety of specialty foods, pastries and main entrees including cooking and baking
- coordinate and maintain cooking schedule and review production sheets to determine quantity for daily food and meal preparation
- test foods being cooked for quality and adjust controls, timers, grill, and oven as required
- label and store food items and utilize leftovers in accordance to guidelines and procedures
- clean and maintain a sanitary work area ensuring compliance with hospital and state regulatory requirements
- assist on special functions and catering events including preparation, setup, service, and cleanup
- stock a variety of materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory and assist in taking inventory and placing orders
- assist in training and delegation of work for personnel in food service units at multiple locations
