Job Requirements

  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • one year recent experience as a Cook or Prep Cook or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • must be 18 years or older
  • no felony, theft, or stealing convictions
  • must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check
  • must obtain and maintain gaming license
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools
  • knowledge of safe kitchen practices
  • ability to communicate in basic English
  • ability to obtain Food Handler's card
  • ability to provide outstanding guest service
  • ability to work in fast paced environment
  • ability to maintain professional appearance
  • ability to organize and coordinate tasks

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to menu and business demand
  • uses or learns proper knife skills and cooking techniques
  • follows standardized recipes for all food venues
  • understands and completes all assigned tasks
  • communicates effectively with Room Chef
  • maintains and communicates food and stock needs to ensure proper inventory levels
  • maintains a clean, organized, and sanitized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • ensures all assigned kitchen areas and duties are completed
  • prepares venues to open on time
  • keeps all food storage areas clean, organized, labeled, and dated
  • ensures all equipment, tools, floors, and work stations are clean and free from clutter
  • adheres to casino established procedures
  • communicates well with team members maintaining a positive work environment
  • contributes to team efforts
  • performs other duties as required
