Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in food service or related field
  • Ability to pass ServSafe Certification or equivalent within 90 days of start date
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen operations
  • Ability to read and quantify recipes and menus
  • Eligibility to work on specified contracts
  • Ability to interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, and management
  • Ability to understand oral and/or written instructions
  • Ability to pass organization screening including background checks

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare, portion, cook, and present large quantities of food for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events
  • Ensure adherence to recipes and menus to maintain food quality and consistency
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation standards
  • Interact professionally and appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, and management staff
  • Follow oral and written instructions accurately
  • Comply with organization screening requirements including background checks
  • Adapt to varying schedules and work locations as required
