Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Apprentice for certification preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment
  • Must be able to identify all products used in kitchen operation
  • Recognizes spoiled or questionable products
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute recipes
  • Must successfully complete CARE or TIPS training
  • Employee must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations

Job Duties

  • Consistently prepares hot or cold food selections to standards established by the Executive Chef
  • Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly
  • Assist in training of new cooks
  • Must be able to stand for a full shift
  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customer of fellow team members
  • Completes daily checklist and production charts as directed by supervisor
  • Any and all duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management
