Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be fully conversational in English
  • Two or more years of culinary experience in a fast-paced dining restaurant demonstrating moderate-level cooking skills such as quick serve, grilling, and frying
  • Must successfully obtain SERVSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  • Experience on multiple kitchen stations preferred
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Able to lift 35 lbs or more
  • Supporting other cooks and working in a team environment
  • Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be available to work varied hours and days including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions with flexibility

Job Duties

  • Work on the line in one of OTG's multi-unit concepts
  • Prepare food following recipe guidelines with correct portion sizing and plating for consistent presentation
  • Ensure all food items for an order are ready simultaneously
  • Control the quality of all food items prepared according to OTG specifications
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and work toward guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned
