Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive 45 minutes to the remote job location
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Prior dining facility experience preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Skill in various cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Prior experience in a dining facility preferred but not required
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to drive to job site location at North Ft. Cavazos

Job Duties

  • Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam and sauté as prescribed by Army recipes
  • Setting up, cleaning and organizing work stations
  • Preparing ingredients for the shift
  • washing, chopping, seasoning meat etc
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
  • Follow all safety and health regulations
  • Assist in inventory control and stock management
