Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Fully conversational in English
  • Two or more years of culinary experience in a fast-paced dining restaurant
  • Must successfully obtain SERVSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  • Experience on multiple stations in the kitchen preferred
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Able to lift 35 lbs or more
  • Able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Fully conversational in English
  • Two or more years of culinary experience in a fast-paced dining restaurant demonstrating moderate-level cooking skills such as quick serve, grilling, frying
  • Must successfully obtain SERVSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  • Experience on multiple stations in the kitchen is preferred
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Able to lift 35 lbs or more
  • Able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather
  • Ability to support other cooks and work in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Work on the line in one of OTG's multi-unit concepts
  • Prepare food following recipe guidelines, ensure portion sizing and plating with identical contents and appearance for consistent presentation
  • Ensure all food items are ready at the same time as others on the same order
  • Control the quality of all food items prepared to OTG specifications and restaurant directions
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Operate all kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and work toward guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned
