Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Fully conversational in English
  • Two or more years of culinary experience in a fast-paced dining restaurant demonstrating moderate-level cooking skills
  • Must successfully obtain SERVSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of hire
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  • Experience on multiple stations preferred
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Able to lift 35 lbs or more
  • Supporting other cooks and working in a team environment
  • Mobile and able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Available to work varied hours and days including nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible in bad weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Fully conversational in English
  • Minimum of two years culinary experience in a fast-paced dining restaurant with moderate-level cooking skills
  • Proven knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
  • Experience working on multiple kitchen stations preferred
  • Excellent knife skills
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds or more
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Work on the line in one of OTG's multi-unit concepts
  • Prepare food following recipe guidelines ensuring portion sizing and plating with consistent presentation
  • Ensure all food items for an order are ready simultaneously
  • Control the quality of all food items prepared according to OTG specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work areas and kitchen equipment
  • Operate all kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
  • Develop and sustain positive working relationships with team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
