Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of relevant cooking and food preparation experience
  • Ability to work varied days and shifts
  • Competency in knife skills
  • Knowledge of food service safety practices and temperature control
  • Ability to read and understand production tickets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume food preparation environment
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • One to three years' experience in high volume preparation and cooking of food in a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering firm, government or private institution

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles
  • Responsible for preliminary preparation of food items for the next day as indicated by menu cycle
  • Ability to read production tickets
  • Assist with routine cleaning and sanitation of areas
  • Assist with serving food items as indicated by established workflow
  • Demonstrate competency in knife skills
  • Demonstrate competency in food service safety practices and procedures, and temperature control
  • Assist with other duties as needed
