Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of relevant cooking and food preparation experience
- Ability to work varied days and shifts
- Competency in knife skills
- Knowledge of food service safety practices and temperature control
- Ability to read and understand production tickets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume food preparation environment
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- One to three years' experience in high volume preparation and cooking of food in a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering firm, government or private institution
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles
- Responsible for preliminary preparation of food items for the next day as indicated by menu cycle
- Ability to read production tickets
- Assist with routine cleaning and sanitation of areas
- Assist with serving food items as indicated by established workflow
- Demonstrate competency in knife skills
- Demonstrate competency in food service safety practices and procedures, and temperature control
- Assist with other duties as needed
