Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years experience in high volume food preparation and cooking
- Ability to demonstrate knife skills competency
- Knowledge of food service safety practices and temperature control
- Ability to read and follow production tickets
- Capable of performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Ability to assist in food service operations
- Flexibility to work varied days and hours
Job Qualifications
- One to three years experience in high volume preparation and cooking of food in a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering firm, government or private institution
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles
- Responsible for preliminary preparation of food items for next day as indicated by menu cycle
- Ability to read production tickets
- Assist with routine cleaning and sanitation of areas
- Assist with serving food items as indicated by established workflow
- Demonstrate competency in knife skills
- Demonstrate competency in food service safety practices and procedures, and temperature control
- Assist with other duties as needed
