Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of related work experience
  • Ability to follow recipes and baking instructions precisely
  • Capability to handle kitchen equipment safely
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to comply with company safety and hygiene policies
  • Ability to work full-time
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2 years related work experience in bakery or culinary arts
  • Experience with baking breads and pastries
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain quality and presentation standards
  • Willingness to learn and follow procedural guidelines

Job Duties

  • Prepare breads and pastries
  • Prepare doughs and fillings
  • Test, bake and decorate baked goods as required
  • Review production sheets daily to determine baking needs
  • Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain kitchen records for food safety compliance
  • Communicate with chef about excess food products for daily special planning
  • Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and appropriately
  • Observe and ensure food and appliance temperatures are correct
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating kitchen staff
  • Serve as a role model and mentor
  • Follow company policies and procedures including safety protocols
  • Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • Cultivate positive working relationships
  • Handle delicate issues with tact, respect and confidentiality
  • Comply with quality expectations and standards
  • Physically move, lift and transport objects up to 25 pounds
  • Be able to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
