Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- at least one year of full-time experience
- be at least 21 years of age
- possess a valid California Food Handlers Card
- basic computer skills in Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication platforms
- possess a valid driver’s license and access to insured transportation
- agency insurer authorization required
- ability to pass criminal background check
- ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and TB test

Job Duties
- Prepare meals in accordance with approved menus that meet established nutritional standards and comply with all contractual obligations and government regulations
- oversee the efficient operation and cleanliness of the culinary workspace, including kitchen equipment and dining areas
- ensure food is properly stored, handled, and served to meet sanitation requirements and internal food safety protocols
- participate in daily cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
- conduct daily food sampling to monitor contamination and uphold safety standards
- support weekly food inventory processes and adjust menus based on inventory and dietary needs
- maintain inventory of household supplies and chemicals, adhering to MSDS guidelines
- enforce safety protocols for handling and storage of knives and sharp tools
- maintain accurate records of food temperatures, cleaning schedules, inventory logs, and food sampling results
- respond quickly and efficiently in emergencies
- drive on agency business
- maintain physical presence at the program location
