Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook 'to order' foods with short preparation time
  • prepare food and serve customers including operating a grill station
  • prepare food according to federal, state and City of Hope standards
  • read food orders and prepare meals following instructions
  • prepare meals for customers requiring special diets
  • provide excellent customer service at all times
  • follow recipes and product directions for preparing a variety of foods
  • operate kitchen equipment for measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, shredding and trimming ingredients
  • produce batch goods using basic cooking techniques
  • taste products and estimate food requirements
  • check production and keep records to plan requisition of supplies
  • clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • attend allergy and foodborne illness training
  • participate in safety meetings and training
  • receive inventory and move foodstuffs and supplies
  • comply with company safety and risk management policies
  • report accidents and injuries timely
  • follow City of Hope policies and guidelines including Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan
  • maintain confidentiality with high integrity
  • perform other related duties as assigned
