Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3-5 years culinary experience in a full-service restaurant
  • ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • food handler certification preferred
  • physical stamina for kitchen work

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of apprenticeship program or culinary school preferred
  • 3-5 years of culinary experience in a full-service restaurant
  • prior experience in an upscale restaurant preferred
  • strong team player with a positive attitude
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and presentation guidelines

Job Duties

  • Ensure and prepare all menu items by following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef with minimal supervision
  • receive food deliveries, store and label items properly to prevent spoilage
  • set-up stations by checking and completing mise en place and pars
  • assist chef with inventory and ordering
  • execute all duties in accordance with Desert Mountain Club, ServSafe, and health department standards
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
