Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 3 years of related culinary or food preparation experience
- ability to prepare meals according to recipes and standards
- good communication skills
- physical ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- willingness to follow all health, safety, and security guidelines
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
- at least 3 years of related work experience
- no supervisory experience
- ability to follow recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
- ability to maintain professional appearance and adhere to safety protocols
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Prepare special meals or substitute items
- regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
- ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
- maintain food logs
- monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
- communicate assistance needed during busy periods
