Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 3 years of related culinary or food preparation experience
  • ability to prepare meals according to recipes and standards
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • willingness to follow all health, safety, and security guidelines
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
  • at least 3 years of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to follow recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
  • ability to maintain professional appearance and adhere to safety protocols
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items
  • regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
  • ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
  • maintain food logs
  • monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
  • communicate assistance needed during busy periods
