Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Food handlers certification from local health department
  • Ability to work between 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. with days to be determined
  • Compliance with all health codes and safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Ability to follow established portion sizes and cooking methods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Food handlers certification from local health department
  • Experience in cooking and food preparation
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents families co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
  • Prepare a variety of meats seafood poultry vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers ovens grills fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Know and comply consistently with standard portion sizes cooking methods quality standards and kitchen rules policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including tables shelves grills broilers fryers pasta cookers saute burners convection oven flat top range and refrigeration equipment
  • Prepare items for broiling grilling frying sauteing or other cooking methods by portioning battering breading seasoning and or marinating
