Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of related experience in food preparation
- Ability to regulate cooking equipment temperatures
- Ability to maintain accurate food and safety logs
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow company safety and security policies
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties
Job Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred
- At least 3 years of related work experience
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain food logs and ensure food quality
- Ability to follow safety and security policies
- Professional appearance and cleanliness
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to handle physical job demands
Job Duties
- Prepare special meals or substitute items
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
- Maintain food logs
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods
- Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials
- Inform Food and Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Protect company assets
- Anticipate and address guest service needs
- Communicate using clear and professional language
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships
- Support team to reach common goals
- Listen and respond to employee concerns
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
