Job Duties
- Prepare special meals or replace products
- regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, and roasters
- remove food from the freezer to thaw in the refrigerator
- ensure correct portions, distribution, and garnishing of food
- keep food records
- control the quality and quantity of food prepared
- communicate any needed assistance during busy periods
- report excess food items to the chef for use in daily specials
- inform Food and Beverage service staff about rejected products and specials
- ensure food quality
- prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
- prepare cold dishes
- assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, disciplining, motivation, and training of employees
- serve as a role model
- comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
- conduct safety training and obtain safety certifications
- ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional
- maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
- anticipate guest service needs and meet them
- communicate clearly and professionally with others
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
- support team objectives
- listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
- ensure compliance with quality standards
- stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- stretch above head and below knees, including squatting, twisting, turning, and bending
