Job Requirements

  • Diploma from a technical, trades, or vocational school
  • minimum of three years of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • no licenses or certifications required
  • ability to work full time in a kitchen environment
  • physical capability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 pounds
  • availability to communicate effectively with team members
  • adherence to company policies and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or replace products
  • regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, and roasters
  • thaw food from the freezer in the refrigerator
  • ensure proper portioning, distribution, and garnishing of food
  • maintain food records
  • monitor food quality and quantity
  • communicate assistance needs during busy periods
  • report excess food products for daily specials
  • inform Food and Beverage service staff about rejected products and available specials
  • ensure food product quality
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
  • serve as an example
  • comply with all safety and company policies
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
  • conduct safety training and obtain certifications
  • maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • anticipate and meet guest service needs
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
  • support the team to reach common goals
  • respond appropriately to employee concerns
