Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • possession of a State of Washington Food Handler’s Permit
  • at least six months of commercial cooking experience or experience in preparing a variety of foods in large quantities
  • ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
  • capacity to work in environments with high and low temperatures
  • close vision and ability to adjust focus
  • compliance with health and safety regulations
  • a valid Washington State driver’s license may be required

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • State of Washington Food Handler’s Permit
  • six months of commercial cooking or large-scale food preparation experience
  • knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods
  • understanding of food service equipment
  • familiarity with basic nutritional guidelines
  • awareness of Washington State Health and Fire codes
  • skill in cooking, baking, and serving nutritious meals
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Assists in preparing, cooking and serving food
  • receives and stores food and cleaning supplies
  • cleans work site and maintains good housekeeping and sanitary conditions
  • maintains Washington State Health Code standards
  • performs a wide range of office and field duties as needed
  • ensures safety and sanitation procedures are followed
  • supports team efforts and effective communication
