Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- possession of a State of Washington Food Handler’s Permit
- at least six months of commercial cooking experience or experience in preparing a variety of foods in large quantities
- ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
- capacity to work in environments with high and low temperatures
- close vision and ability to adjust focus
- compliance with health and safety regulations
- a valid Washington State driver’s license may be required
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- State of Washington Food Handler’s Permit
- six months of commercial cooking or large-scale food preparation experience
- knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods
- understanding of food service equipment
- familiarity with basic nutritional guidelines
- awareness of Washington State Health and Fire codes
- skill in cooking, baking, and serving nutritious meals
- effective oral and written communication skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
Job Duties
- Assists in preparing, cooking and serving food
- receives and stores food and cleaning supplies
- cleans work site and maintains good housekeeping and sanitary conditions
- maintains Washington State Health Code standards
- performs a wide range of office and field duties as needed
- ensures safety and sanitation procedures are followed
- supports team efforts and effective communication
