Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food preparation preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work part-time and temporarily
- ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- good personal hygiene and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- knowledge of cooking techniques including charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting, and par-cooking
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to recognize quality standards in fresh produce and meats
- experience in food preparation and service
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- prepare food as directed by the chef in charge
- comply with food safety standards
- apply portion control and presentation standards
- prepare fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products
- use herbs and spices properly
- maintain clean and sanitary kitchen environment
- prepare food for conferences according to banquet event orders
