Job Requirements

  • Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, bending, walking
  • must handle kitchen tools and operate kitchen equipment
  • must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing 25 pounds and above
  • work environment includes exposure to noise, dust, and extreme temperatures
  • all employees must be knowledgeable of company policies, fire and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years of food service experience preferred
  • proficient knife skills
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment usage and kitchen safety
  • able to provide high level of guest service
  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • valid health card
  • effective communication in English
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Duties

  • Assist with kitchen line setup and coordinate all food items on the line
  • cook pantry, grill/fry, salads, and desserts
  • adept at making salads and sandwiches
  • apportion food servings accurately
  • prepare food items according to standard recipes to ensure consistency and quality
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to health and sanitation codes
  • respond to special requests and dietary needs
  • transport food and supplies to workstations
  • set up, serve, and clean assigned food production stations
  • report equipment repair and maintenance needs
  • keep work area neat and clean at all times
  • complete food temperature checks before service
  • assist other kitchen personnel including training Prep Cooks
  • assist with ordering and inventory as needed
  • perform other assigned duties
