Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior food preparation experience
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- authorization to work in the U.S.
- adherence to union conditions and agreements
Job Qualifications
- proficiency in English and ability to interpret instructions
- prior food production experience as a short-order cook or line cook
- knowledge of food preparation methods and kitchen equipment
- ability to maintain a static standing position for extended periods
- ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs
- effective communication skills
- willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- follow standardized recipes for all meals in back-of-house or front-of-house settings
- prepare food items ensuring nutritional standards, taste, and visual presentation
- communicate daily with culinary and management staff regarding production, sanitation, quality, health and safety, and maintenance issues
- maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen workspace
- assist with inventory control and proper food storage
- adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery
