Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of directly related experience
- ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- experience with moderate exposure to chemicals or dangerous equipment
- adherence to hospital policies and procedures
- availability to work rotating shifts
- capable of performing physical tasks associated with medium work
- no formal educational requirements
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- one to two years of related food preparation experience
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to operate computerized cash register systems
- basic inventory management skills
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- capability to follow detailed recipes and production guidelines
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with recipes
- coordinate cooking schedule to ensure timely production
- maintain and replenish food lines and breakfast carts
- maintain and record food temperature to ensure quality and compliance
- clean and maintain a sanitary work area
- oversee and perform computerized cash register sales
- prepare, reconcile, and record cash receipts and sales reports
- maintain and prepare various patient records including menus and labels
- prepare and distribute patient trays following established procedures
- stock materials and assist with inventory and orders
