Job Requirements
- culinary experience
- current food handlers certification in compliance with California laws
- ability to stand for the entire shift
- ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly
- ability to withstand temperature variations, both hot and cold
- availability to work flexible hours including days, nights, and weekends
- ability to bend, reach, and stand for a minimum of eight hours daily
- ability to work outdoors
- ability to withstand high ambient temperatures while working near cooking equipment

Job Duties
- adhere to the company’s service culture - 4 keys to creating guests for life
- actively participate in team member referral program and be a talent ambassador for Silverado Resort
- participate in all resort required meetings and trainings
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform/business attire and nametag
- lead the line cooks and assign tasks and responsibilities as needed
- have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation according to resort standards
- maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas and coolers
- monitor kitchen equipment functionality and report issues to engineering
- prepare and display buffet food items according to resort standards
- train and guide others in cooking techniques
- ensure kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
- prepare fresh and sufficient ingredients for service
- serve as a point of contact to sous chef or chef de cuisine
- prepare food for banquets following specifications on banquet event orders
- prepare and service food for the employee cafeteria as directed
- follow standardized recipes for all food preparation
- breakdown buffets and kitchen line, storing food and equipment properly
- work banquet food station as scheduled
- support any kitchen position in need of help
- follow all health department and company regulations regarding food safety and storage
- operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
- assist in storage and rotation of food items
- abide by all resort policies and safety rules
- perform other duties as requested by management
