Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- must be free of medical restrictions or limitations that prevent duty performance
- must be physically capable of working in extreme weather conditions
- must use proper lifting procedures and practices
- may work uncommon hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- must be able to bend, stoop and lift equipment for cleaning
- must be on feet majority of shift
- must pass pre-employment background check
- must have a Real ID
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food service or kitchen operations preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow detailed recipes and standard operating procedures
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ability to lift and handle kitchen equipment safely
- customer service experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Adhere to the clean as you go concept
- ensure dining facility is cleaned and sanitized
- maintain compliance of sanitation and food safety
- follow proper cooking procedures, recipe cards, SOPs and production schedules
- follow proper procedures, temperatures and time periods during food preparation
- ensure correct amount of food is prepared
- replenish serving line and self-service areas for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- communicate timely with Cook II regarding food quantity and quality before preparation
- ensure un-served food is properly stored
- ensure leftover food is properly labeled
- use gloves, utensils, and portion control properly when serving
- assist in serving customers courteously
- ensure safety, security and energy conservation in dining facility
- maintain confidentiality on proprietary information
- maintain food service uniform and safety items
- perform other duties as assigned
