Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year related experience
- Flexibility to work night shifts and rotating weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow strict health and safety standards
- Experience in hospital, healthcare or institutional cooking preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training preferred
- One year related experience required
- Experience cooking in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
- Experience cooking in an institutional setting acceptable
Job Duties
- Prepare food which is nutritious and appetizing in accordance with requirements of the Food Production Manager
- Prepare meals for patients on both regular and modified diets
- Prepare food items for the cafeteria
- Maintain accurate records of all foods prepared and returned
- Ensure compliance with Maryland Department of Health standards and Johns Hopkins safety standards
- Work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Collaborate with team members to uphold food quality and safety
