Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training preferred
- At least one year of related experience
- Experience in hospital or institutional cooking preferred
- Ability to work full-time rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must adhere to health and safety standards
- Ability to maintain records accurately

- Experience cooking in an institutional setting acceptable
- Ability to maintain accurate food records
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Prepare food which is nutritious and appetizing in accordance with requirements of the Food Production Manager
- Prepare meals for patients on both regular and modified diets
- Prepare food items for the cafeteria
- Maintain accurate records of all foods prepared and returned
- Ensure Maryland Department of Health standards are followed
- Adhere to strict safety standards under Johns Hopkins expectations
- Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
