Job Requirements

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing proper uniform and name tag
  • Comply with company standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations
  • Comply with certification requirements for food handlers and safety
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during work shift
  • Ability to lift, move, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach overhead and below the knees
  • Maintain friendly and warm demeanor at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • No prior experience required but preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation methods and kitchen safety standards
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately
  • Friendly and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in food storage areas
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to comply with food handler and safety certifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items based on standardized recipes for café, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in kitchen and work areas
  • Minimize waste and maximize cost/production ratio
  • Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to opening hours
  • Prepare and display buffet food items according to company standards
  • Maintain post on kitchen line during operating hours to prepare food to order
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
