Job Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout entire shift
  • Ability to hear accurately over loud background noise
  • 20/20 near vision with correction
  • Manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools and equipment safely
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and manager instructions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare, season and cook complex menu items including soups, sauces, vegetables, meats and desserts
  • Take direction from Manager on Duty
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes as well as Razzoo's policies and procedures
  • Follow recipes accurately and have recipes available when preparing dishes
  • Adhere to line procedures without shortcuts and utilize scales and measuring tools for portioning
  • Prepare food items with urgency to meet stated cook times
  • Arrange plates consistently with clean rims and proper garnishing
  • Follow Cook To Order philosophy, avoiding pre-cooking of food items
  • Follow proper food thawing and storage procedures including covering, labeling, dating, and rotating food items
  • Maintain clean and sanitized kitchen and equipment
  • Use appropriate safety measures including knife handling, glove usage, and chemical handling per OSHA guidelines
  • Operate dishwashing machine and handle trash disposal safely
  • Report unsafe conditions to management
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management
