Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in related role
  • Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and cooking methods
  • Awareness of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or related role
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Follow production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
  • Use various utensils including knives safely
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • Cook food using baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and other methods
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines
  • Store food safely by adhering to food safety policies
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor
  • Adhere to safety policies including food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure security of company assets
