Job Requirements

  • Required to take and pass a Food Service Sanitation course within ninety days of hiring
  • Has to meet all requirements of an Intermediate Cook
  • Proficient in preparation of mother’s sauces and derivatives
  • Knowledge and production of seasonally driven soups including chowders, bisques, consommé, purees, creams, and broths
  • Skilled in braising techniques including osso bucco, short rib, fricassee, stews, and slow cooking
  • Proficient at every station in food outlet regardless of business levels
  • Maintains station decorum through consistent production, organization, and cleanliness
  • Ability to butcher whole fish, chickens, tenderloins, striploins, and lamb
  • Advanced skill in vegetable cookery including parisienne, tourney, dauphinoise, soufflé, pommes anna, rosti, roasted vegetables, confit, terrines
  • Understanding of curing culinary techniques such as dry cure, wet cure/brining, smoking, pickling, ceviche/acid cures, and air drying
  • Ability to work in smoke-filled environments and stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain PA Harness license.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
  • Knowledge of sauces, soups, braising, meat and fish butchery, and advanced vegetable preparation techniques
  • Ability to operate multiple cooking stations effectively
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
  • Team player with positive attitude and work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to various shifts and work environment demands.

Job Duties

  • Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills by displaying Family Style Service behaviors and OWN IT skills
  • Maintains positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and enthusiasm in all guest interactions
  • Prepares all food orders including meat, fish, poultry, sauces, and gravies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Operates various cooking stations such as sauté, broiler, appetizer, carving, and fryer according to Chef’s instructions
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization of food preparation areas, maintaining sanitary conditions per health department standards
  • Promotes Caesars Rewards programs and registers guests as part of service
  • Practices teamwork by cooperating with employees across all departments and responding respectfully to internal customers
  • Completes station checklists and restocks workstations prior to shift completion
  • Adheres to safety and company policies including Food Service Sanitation requirements
  • Works varied shifts including holidays and weekends
  • Performs related duties as assigned such as Line Attendant and Pantry tasks
  • Maintains professional appearance and excellent communication with guests and coworkers.
