Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience as a lead cook in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Ability to follow established dietary procedures and recipes
  • Knowledge of kosher dietary laws
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain hygiene and safety standards
  • Serve Safe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Review menus prior to food preparation
  • Inspect special diet trays to ensure the correct diet is served to residents
  • Ensure all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
  • Assist in establishing the food service production line to ensure meals are prepared on time
  • Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus
  • Prepare and serve meals that are both palatable and visually appealing
  • Cook/prepare meals as necessary
  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes and special diet orders
  • Demonstrate knowledge of kosher dietary laws
