Job Requirements
- Must be 18 and above to operate large cooking equipment
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion
- Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance
- Pass City of Boise background check including criminal history and references
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience as a cook
- Knowledge of broiler, flat grill, convection oven, six burner stove, meat slicer and cooking utensils
- Ability to be a diplomatic team player and leader
- Ability to develop and manage staff
- Ability to multi-task and react quickly and calmly
- Ability to interact with public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner
- Effective communication in English
Job Duties
- Prepares meals to order using commercial kitchen equipment
- Prepares inventory and ordering to ensure kitchen is adequately stocked and expenses are properly managed
- Develops new food and presentation ideas
- Ensures highest quality and consistency of food preparation and presentation
- Follows all food safety regulations
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Uses positive customer service skills to interact with clients
- Performs other duties as assigned
