Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional cooking experience
  • fine dining experience preferred
  • experience in restaurants, healthcare, or retirement communities is a plus
  • knowledge of scratch cooking and food safety
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality meals from scratch including soups, sauces, seafood, meats, and specials
  • follow a rotating 5-week menu while maintaining flexibility for resident preferences
  • ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation through proper tasting and adjustments
  • safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
  • maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
  • support the Executive Chef and Director of Dining with daily kitchen operations
  • work collaboratively with the dining team to ensure timely and excellent service
