- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ServSafe certification, culinary certification or degree preferred
Job Duties
- Assist in the production of patient, retail, and catering hot and cold meals
- Prepare foods according to recipe specifications while preventing waste
- Review menus and plan production at least three days in advance
- Adhere to daily, weekly, monthly cleaning schedules for food service equipment
- Demonstrate flexibility in accepting schedule and work assignments
- Accept and understand verbal and written instructions
- Safely operate all food service equipment for meal preparation
- Comply with all safety and sanitation standards including Board of Health, The Joint Commission, and HACCP standards
- Properly follow cooking, cooling, reheating, holding, storing, labeling, and serving procedures
