Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 months cooking experience
  • knowledge of food safety procedures
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • good hearing and vision for food accuracy
  • ability to communicate with management and staff
  • ability to read and understand kitchen tickets

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 months cooking experience in a restaurant or hotel setting
  • computer literacy
  • ability to multi-task
  • good organizational skills
  • ability to work under pressure
  • basic knife skills preferred
  • food safety certified preferred
  • hospitality skills a plus
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • knowledge of safe food handling practices

Job Duties

  • Attend scheduled shifts consistently
  • understand and follow production and prep schedules
  • create and utilize production charts
  • manage prep production strategically to reduce waste
  • comply with safe food handling procedures including labeling and rotating
  • utilize time productively and organize tasks efficiently
  • safely operate and clean kitchen equipment
  • complete daily checklists and inspection logs
  • maintain a sanitary and organized workstation
  • comply with portion sizes, quality standards, and garnish requirements
  • educate others on quality standards
  • make effective decisions and take responsibility
  • apply creative problem-solving and teamwork
  • comply with all handbook standards
  • demonstrate dedication to guest satisfaction
  • complete mandatory food safety training
  • report maintenance needs
  • check out with supervisor prior to leaving
  • maintain neat appearance with proper uniform and protective gear
