Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen or similar environment
- ServSafe certified or current food handler's certificate
- availability to work the pm shift from 11:00am to 7:00pm including weekends and holidays
- knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen procedures
- ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties
- Prepare food products for residents and guests while assuring high-quality plate presentation
- provide hands-on training and guidance for kitchen staff
- demonstrate advanced cooking skills including grilling, sautéing, baking, and food preparation
- follow proper procedures for food receiving and storage according to HACCP
- perform sanitation duties in the kitchen work area
- complete assigned record keeping tasks
- comply with all state and regulatory guidelines
- follow safety policies and maintain sanitary standards
- offer creative feedback for new dish suggestions and presentations
- assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef with special projects
- act as a positive role model and mentor for staff
- prepare special foods according to catering sheets
- ensure all kitchen equipment is in working order
- supervise and manage kitchen staff including cooks, dishwashers, and prep-cooks
- prepare dishes according to production sheets and recipes complying with Title 22 requirements for Skilled Nursing Facilities
