Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation required
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly preferred
  • Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state/local requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Knowledge and experience working with elderly residents preferred
  • Previous experience with dementia patients preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state/local requirements
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for residents
  • Assist Executive Chef in managing food service functions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen environment
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards according to state and local requirements
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of food items
  • Support dietary needs of elderly residents including those with dementia
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver timely meal service
