Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation required
- Knowledge and experience in working with elderly preferred
- Previous dementia experience preferred
- Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state/local requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation
- Knowledge and experience working with elderly residents preferred
- Previous experience with dementia patients preferred
- Food Service Sanitation certificate according to state/local requirements
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Job Duties
- Prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for residents
- Assist Executive Chef in managing food service functions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable kitchen environment
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards according to state and local requirements
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items
- Support dietary needs of elderly residents including those with dementia
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver timely meal service
