Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in a culinary role
  • Ability to follow recipes and kitchen instructions
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Capability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
  • A minimum of one year’s experience as a cook with responsibilities in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution
  • Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • Basic understanding of English

Job Duties

  • Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Prepares all food items according to standardized recipes
  • Cleans kitchen equipment and work areas regularly
  • Monitors kitchen supplies and notifies supervisor when restocking is needed
