Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of professional culinary experience
- Completion of sanitation certification or ServSafe within 6 months
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of standardized food preparation
- Ability to work under periodic supervision
- Ability to lead and train others
- Strong teamwork and organization skills
- Compatible with diverse team environments
- Maintain clean and neat appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Advanced culinary training from vocational or culinary school preferred
- Completion of sanitation certification or ServSafe within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 3 years of professional culinary experience
- Experience in commercial large volume cooking preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of food preparation by recipe
- Ability to complete assignments under periodic supervision
- Ability to supervise and assist in training
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Compatible with diverse service situations
- Clean and neat appearance
Job Duties
- Produces assigned items without direct supervision
- Performs advance preparation in accordance with instructions from the Operations Manager
- Stores leftover food in accordance with approved sanitation practices
- Keeps work area clean using Infection Control procedures and in compliance with Broward County Health Department
- Assists with catering special functions
- Performs other job-related duties within job scope as requested by supervisor
