Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in large scale cooking
- Ability to obtain ServSafe certification during probation
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to prepare special medical diets
- Successful completion of employment reference checks
- Passing Minnesota Department of Human Services background check
- Tuberculosis screening or chest x-ray prior to employment
- Willingness to work evening shifts and every other weekend

Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of large scale cooking methods and equipment
- Understanding of food values and nutrition
- Familiarity with health and safety principles in food preparation
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to prepare special medical diets
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain during probationary period
- Experience cooking in healthcare or long-term care facility preferred
- Experience with inventory and stocking preferred
- Knowledge of International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook large-scale meals for residents, staff, and guests
- Adjust recipes to meet different numbers and special medical diets
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Complete food preparation and cleanup duties
- Manage inventory and maintain stock levels
- Adhere to health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with staff to ensure meal quality and timing
