Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years experience as a cook in a professional kitchen setting
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to plan and organize work and follow instructions accurately
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- Basic understanding of English
- Ability to maintain personal hygiene and follow dress code
- Availability to work varied shifts and full-time hours
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
- A minimum of one to three years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, country club, or similar institution
- Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- Basic understanding of English
Job Duties
- Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
- Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Prepares food items as per standardized recipes
- Cleans kitchen equipment and work areas
- Follows food safety and hygiene regulations
