Job Requirements
- High School diploma general equivalency diploma or GED equivalent programs
- Minimum of 1 or more years of hotel or restaurant cooking experience
- Observed good cooking techniques
- Team player
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Food Service Safety and Sanitation Certification such as ServSafe or Prometric upon hire or within one year

Job Duties
- Perform all food preparation and cooking functions maintaining all quality standards
- Prepare food accurately following production sheets and standardized recipes
- Control and adhere to established procedures and state requirements regarding safe food handling storage and service
- Maintain strict sanitation standards including hand washing proper use of gloves continuous sanitizing of food contact surfaces utensils equipment and work stations
- Monitor and maintain food temperatures at all times
- Wrap date and label all food items in storage adhering to FIFO
- Operate cooking equipment following established procedures and safety precautions
- Monitor and control quantities of foods prepared recording leftovers and waste
- Inform the Production Supervisor or Chef of any issues related to production areas equipment food items preparation or cooking procedures
- Set up and break down food serving lines efficiently and timely
- Maintain and record HACCP logs ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Participate actively in cleaning assignments overall sanitation and housekeeping duties in production areas
- Complete all assignments on daily production sheets and assist co-workers as needed
- Participate in hospital and departmental programs for staff development and quality improvement
- Work independently and as part of a team maintaining effective relationships with co-workers
- Perform other related duties as assigned adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
- Lift a minimum of 30 lbs push and pull a minimum of 75 lbs and stand a minimum of 8 hours a day
