Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • up to 10 years previous experience in a similar role within the most recent 10 years
  • ability to work the specified hours of 8:30 am to 2:30 pm monday through friday
  • ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • capability to handle physical demands of the job
  • strong team collaboration skills
  • commitment to following established recipes and dietary guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience preferably in a school or institutional setting
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
  • ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed
  • manage inventory and storage of food supplies
  • collaborate with nutrition services staff to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences
  • serve meals in a timely and courteous manner
  • assist in menu planning and portion control
